“Restoring Strength and Encouragement for Dedicated Teachers”
Immok Imjai Foundation, in collaboration with Ban Prangkla School, private sector partners, and communities surrounding Khao Yai, organized the handover ceremony of a teacher dormitory on 28 November 2025 at Ban Prangkla School, Moo Si Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
The project aims to enhance teachers’ quality of life, reduce burdens related to commuting and accommodation, and restore strength and encouragement so that teachers can fully dedicate themselves to providing quality education.
Restoring Strength, Enhancing Teachers’ Well-being, and Building Sustainable Education
The teacher dormitory is located within the school compound on an area of 3 ngan. It is a two-story building with 12 rooms. Each room offers 24 square meters of living space and is functionally divided into a bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. The dormitory is fully equipped with essential amenities, including furniture sets, kitchen equipment, microwave ovens, and refrigerators. Security systems such as CCTV cameras and key card access have also been installed to ensure the safety of resident teachers.
The surrounding area has been landscaped to be green, pleasant, and relaxing through the collective efforts of the local community. The dormitory provides teachers with a peaceful environment to rest after their teaching duties. Having on-campus accommodation significantly reduces commuting time, allowing teachers to better restore their physical and mental well-being and begin each new school day with renewed energy.
This teacher dormitory is therefore not merely a place to live, but a symbol of care and collective support from the community for teachers who play a vital role in shaping the future of Thai children.
Remarks from the Representative of the Ministry of Education
Acting Sub-Lieutenant Dr. Thanu W, representative of the Ministry of Education, stated that Ban Prangkla School clearly demonstrates the power of collaboration among teachers, communities, and partner networks in driving Thailand’s education system forward with stability. He emphasized that teachers’ quality of life lies at the heart of students’ learning quality.
Under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister Thammanat Prompao and the leadership of Professor Dr. Nareumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Education, the Ministry has continuously advanced key policies, including reducing teachers’ workloads, addressing household debt, reforming academic rank systems, and enhancing welfare benefits. These efforts aim to ensure that teachers have the time, energy, and emotional readiness to care for and educate students effectively.
He also highlighted the importance of teacher housing projects, which directly align with national education policies. With tens of thousands of teacher residences nationwide found to be in deteriorated condition, the Ministry of Education has partnered with the National Housing Authority to systematically renovate and construct teacher housing across the country. The teacher dormitory at Ban Prangkla School stands as a tangible example of translating national policy into real outcomes at the local level through multi-sector collaboration to improve teachers’ quality of life.
Remarks from the Teacher Representative
Ms. Sirithip Pinyopawasutti, a teacher at Ban Prangkla School and representative of the dormitory recipients, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Immok Imjai Foundation, the school committee, the community, and all benefactors. She shared that the teachers truly felt the love, warmth, and sense of safety surrounding their hearts.
Having quality accommodation allows teachers to deeply restore their energy and devote their full attention and dedication back to their students. She expressed her joy and appreciation in witnessing all sectors working together with one shared heart and feeling that the kindness and compassion offered by everyone have strengthened teachers throughout the school to care for children with brighter and more secure hearts.
She firmly believes that if such warmth spreads to teachers nationwide, positive energy will flow to children, families, and communities, gradually shaping a more beautiful Thailand each day. She concluded by offering sincere thanks on behalf of all teachers.
